Do you want to better understand Google+? Read on!
The world moves so fast these days. The worldwide web moves even faster.
It seems that as soon as you’ve got your head around one thing online, it’s time to learn the next. I still remember the days of the instant messenger system ICQ that I used more than a decade ago at university to chat with friends. Now we have online video hangouts, people get their news from sentences less than 200 characters long, and rallies for change happen by simply sharing a photo.
If you’re a blogger or a business, it’s critical that you understand the latest social media networks and know how to use them effectively to grow your followers and profits.
You are competing for attention against millions of other online brands and personalities and getting an edge can make the difference between success and failure.
One of the fastest-growing social media networks is Google+. Although it arrived on the scene much more recently than Facebook or Twitter, it is becoming one of the most important. It’s the only social media network which has a direct effect on how content from your site is seen in search results and it’s the only network which is integrated into the most-visited sites in the world like Google Maps and Youtube.
This makes it a confusing social network to get your head around in the first instance. It took me a while to really understand it and see its potential. Now that I have mastered it, I truly believe it will become the most important social platform on the internet – having a solid presence on Google+ is crucial.
‘Why are you telling me all of this?’ I hear you ask. Well, good question. Firstly, I’m sorry for interrupting my usual travel writing to talk about social media instead. It’s just that I’ve got an important announcement to make.
You see, I have been asked to write a series of books about how you can use Google+ to improve your blog or business. And… drumroll… the first book in the series is now available for you to download FOR FREE!
If that excites you so much that you can’t wait to get your hands on a copy, then you can go and download it straight away:
This first book is a beginner’s guide to Google+. It’s the perfect tutorial for someone who is setting up an account for the first time or for someone who isn’t quite sure if they understand the fundamentals of the platform. It includes some tips and tricks to get more followers and get more engagement from your content.
The final two books in the series will be available in January. They will focus on more advanced topics like photo editing, integration with maps, broadcasting live video, building authority and increasing SEO benefits. If you like what you see in this first book and want to find out more, don’t worry, everything will be revealed soon.
If you don’t have a Google+ profile, why not? It’s the future of the web. If you already do have a profile, are you using it to its full potential?
