Photos from Trolltunga, Norway
I hope you’ve had a chance to read my detailed post about hiking to Trolltunga in Norway. This is one of the most beautiful and epic hikes you can do in Europe and it is growing in popularity every year.
My previous story has all the details you need to know if you’re planning on hiking Trolltunga yourself. Or you might like to read it to find out what it’s like (even if you have no plans to try it yourself in the near future).
When I was putting it together, I realised I had a heap of photos that I took along the route and at the incredible end point – Trolltunga itself.
I included about a dozen of those images in the previous post but still had a lot left that I wanted to share. That’s what I am going to do today.
Rather than explain in words again what it’s like to hike to Trolltunga, how about I show you in photos?
First, though, if you’re thinking of visiting Trolltunga yourself, you may want to consider doing it as part of a tour, so you’ll have all the logistics arranged for you.
There’s this fantastic Trolltunga tour from Odda, which is quite an adventure – and good value if you’re in a group.
Or there are some other great options that I would recommend here:
Now, here are the rest of my photos from the varied landscapes and terrains that the Trolltunga hike takes you through.
From the muddy slopes, to the rocky plains, the snow-filled mountains and the Norwegian fjords.
Enjoy!

If you want accommodation near Trolltunga, I suggest Hardanger Hotel in Odda.
I was hoping I’d see more pictures! The one with the with the reflection of the mountain in the lake is particularly gorgeous!
Thanks, Dominique. I’m glad you liked the extra photos. I had so many from the trek that I couldn’t fit them all into just one post!
This pictures are amazing ! !!
Cheers! I appreciate the comment!
